Delivering impact through social responsibility

I have always been committed to the need to give where help is needed in my personal life so why should a company be any different? At DFP our obligation has always been to commit to serving the community through charitable ventures. I would invite you to visit our website, www.dfp.com.au where you will notice that part of our vision highlights the importance of good citizenship, and this relates to our team and the wider community. DFP believes that Corporate Social Responsibility needs to be taken very seriously. For us ‘business as usual’ means giving back where we can, it is part of our culture. We call this “DFP Impact”.
At DFP we not only contribute financially to appropriate causes we also encourage our staff to participate in a hands on way. As well as arranging staff involvement in company organised activities we also provide paid ‘volunteer leave’ to enable staff to pursue individual charitable causes. This means they are able to be active in their community, with a charity dear to their own hearts. In short; we support our staff’s efforts to make a positive impact.
We continually raise awareness in our workplace and keep staff involved in what we try to achieve in the community. DFP staff have been enthusiastic participants in many of our charitable efforts, hosting morning teas for the Cancer Council, donating clothes to Fitted for Work, sponsoring staff in the Oxfam Walk, and supplying Gordon Care with gifts and vouchers for children in need at Christmas time. A new addition is the Art Cabriolet – but more on that one down the track.
Awareness and participation means an impact can be made. This matters to DFP, where we are determined and driven to make a positive difference.
