Interactive index – DFP Mining and Resources Job Index
The April edition of the DFP Mining and Resources Job Index shows the National Job Index declined by 5.7% to 56.62. In the last quarter, the number of vacancies advertised has now fallen 16.7%. The Permanent index has slipped to 45.79, less than half the figure recorded when we first started publishing vacancy data in 2013. In contrast, the Temporary and Contract index has fallen only 16.9% over 12 months. The index for Western Australia has fallen by 24.2% in the last quarter, however, the Queensland market has stabilised with no movement in job vacancies since January.
