Specialist Allied Health Recruitment

Specialist Allied Health Recruitment

Leveraging a national Clinician talent pool and experienced health recruitment team to identify, assess and place qualified allied health professionals in critical frontline mental health services.

Background

A government healthcare program required qualified Clinicians to support frontline mental health services for veterans and their families across Australia. The roles required a unique combination of clinical expertise, specialised allied health qualifications, crisis intervention capability, telehealth experience and strict compliance with professional registration and screening requirements. This created the need for a specialist recruitment partner with access to national talent networks and highly skilled allied health professionals across multiple disciplines in a highly competitive market.

Our Approach

Drawing on a national network of allied health professionals, DFP Health implemented a targeted recruitment strategy to identify Clinicians with the specialist qualifications, registration requirements and crisis response capabilities required for the role. Our experienced health recruitment team worked closely with stakeholders to align workforce requirements, verify professional credentials and assess candidates for both clinical capability and suitability within a telephone-based service environment.

Key activities included:

  • Talent mapping across Clinicians with relevant AHPRA, AASW and PACFA/ACA credentials.

  • Assessment of crisis response, suicide risk assessment and telehealth experience.

  • Evaluation of suitability for a call-centre based clinical environment.

  • Professional registration verification and credential checking.

  • Management of security clearance and compliance requirements.

  • Ongoing stakeholder engagement to support firm recruitment timeframes.
