Job description

Our State Government client is seeking an experienced AO5 Senior Procurement Officer to join a collaborative and high-performing procurement team. This role suits a motivated professional looking to further strengthen their procurement capability across a diverse and dynamic portfolio.

You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement services, including preparing, calling and evaluating tenders across construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities. The role also involves raising and managing purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and legislation, and maintaining accurate documentation and strong document control standards. You will provide high-quality support to internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and suppliers, promoting procurement best practice at all times.

The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who can also work independently, confidently manage multiple projects at different stages, and maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • Proven Queensland Government procurement experience (minimum AO4 level)
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience in building, construction or maintenance procurement, along with relevant procurement qualifications (e.g. CIPS or QGCPO), will be highly regarded.
