Job description

Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join their team, delivering planned maintenance programs based in Charleville.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and coordinate office staff, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure maintenance and minor works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The role involves undertaking condition assessments, preparing estimates and quotations, and managing project planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support staff and subcontractors across maintenance and minor works programs
  • Conduct detailed condition assessments and prepare accurate cost estimates and trade packages
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate works to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including site inspections and audits
  • Promote a positive team culture and contribute to staff development
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Construction industry experience
  • Current White Card
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Highly Desirable:
  • Trade qualification in a construction-related field
  • Supervisory experience in maintenance or minor works projects
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
