Job description

Our state government partner is seeking a AO7 Principal Procurement Advisor. Lead high-value procurement across a major rail infrastructure project shaping SEQ’s future.

About the role
  • Lead procurement strategy and delivery across a multi-billion-dollar rail infrastructure program
  • Provide high-level advisory support to senior stakeholders on complex procurement matters
  • Drive innovation, risk management, and continuous improvement in procurement practices
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects ahead of the 2032 Olympics
  • Work within a high-performing team in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage procurement activities to ensure timely and effective sourcing of services and materials
  • Analyse data, identify risks, and implement strategic procurement solutions to support project outcomes
  • Ensure contract management practices are effectively applied across all work packages
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and industry partners
  • Provide expert advice on procurement frameworks, policies, and best practices
  • Support and develop team capability, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to drive value and innovation
Highly regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or professional certification in procurement
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or rail procurement
  • Local content management experience within major projects
About you
  • Proven experience managing complex, high-value procurement within major projects or programs
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland Government procurement frameworks and policies
  • High level of probity, ethical decision-making, and accountability
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance
