About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of public housing projects across Queensland. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and can translate design intent into high‑quality construction outcomes.
You will be responsible for managing projects through the full lifecycle, from procurement and design through to construction and implementation ensuring delivery aligns with the Department’s strategic vision, timeframes and budgets.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage public housing projects through procurement, design, construction and delivery
- Interpret design objectives and ensure they are translated into effective construction outcomes
- Lead and manage complex stakeholder relationships, including consultants, contractors and internal teams
- Develop and manage project programs, budgets and reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, budget and timeframes
- Support the delivery of strategic projects aligned to organisational priorities
Mandatory requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry
- A current Queensland Driver Licence (Class C – Open)
- Highly desirable skills and experience
The following will be highly regarded:
- A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Architecture or a related field (diploma acceptable)
- Demonstrated experience using MS Project, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
