Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in Footscray. This role will be APS4 equivalent.

The Role and Responsibilities

Under general direction, the Administration Officer will provide administrative and secretarial support. The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Organising the team email inbox, calendars and appointments, responding to record requests
  • Research and responding to general enquiries and analysing documents and data
  • Supporting the leadership team to develop and implement improvement strategies.
  • Supporting the drafting of written communications and managing documents and databases
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders around the decision business processes and respective responsibilities.
  • Supporting the delivery and implementation of branch projects as required.
  • Monitor and track requests for review, outcomes, identify trends and areas for improvement ensuring a customer focused approach to continuous service development.


About You                  

  • Experience working in an environment with changing priorities and timeframes
  • Ability to successfully organise your workflow
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability
