Job description

Brisbane based Federal Government department are experiencing growth and seeking in experienced Publisher & Content Support Officer to join their team.

This is an exciting and rewarding digital project, where the team are designing and delivering revolutionary new experiences that will improve outcomes for millions of Australians. 
 
The Team
This is a new team of high-performing and busy content specialists - content designers and a content strategist. They provide content for a range of mediums and channels. This includes content for new products, currently under development.
 
These are the:
  • gov.au website (public and ‘signed in’ pages)
  • mobile app for job seekers
  • digital assistant.
They also produce content for notifications including emails, SMS and push notifications for the app, provide quality assurance and advice for authors and content producers in other business areas and support colleagues who write eLearning modules, videos and other communication products.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a publisher and content support officer, you will: 
  • publish content in our bespoke Content Management System (CMS) including web content and notifications
  • publish and manage content in the digital assistant
  • provide content support including quality assurance and preparing work in GatherContent
  • perform analysis using Google Analytics and other content analysis tools
  • provide support to the team and junior staff
  • work with multidisciplinary teams in agile project environments.
The successful applicants:
We are seeking individuals with the following:
  • excellent attention to detail, organisational and administrative skills
  • basic understanding of HTML
  • good data analysis skills or ability to learn
  • ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Desirable: short courses in HTML and content publishing
  • Desirable: short courses or tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, web development or communications
  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • Current National Police Clearance
There are positions available to the APS4 and APS5 equivalent. Positions are CBD based, working between 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. The roles are across a 6 month assignment, with view to extension.
