Job description

We are seeking a number of professional Operations Support Officer’s to join this vibrant Federal Government Department. This is a temporary role based in Richmond and will be an APS4 equivalent on a full-time 12 month assignment.
 
The Role
 
As the Operations Support Officer, you will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and be required to provide advice on a range of matters.
 
This will be a varied, busy role and requires someone with resilience and an ability to work in a changing environment.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Undertaking delegated decisions with review, assessing and approving participant’s plans, schedule reviews, payments, and access tasks
  • Assessing, reviewing, and providing feedback on planning decisions in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Undertake record keeping activities
  • Providing support and mentoring to enhance team development, decision making, technical skills and knowledge in planning delegate decisions
  • Monitoring and analysing quality outcomes and results to identify trends, tailoring regular training and support functions to improve results
  • Supporting the delivery and implementation of branch projects as required

  • Sound judgement, be able to work with a degree of independence and within tight timeframes
  • A flexible and responsive approach to stakeholder needs and a demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to interpret and apply legislation and guidelines
As this role sits within a Federal Government department, applications are required to hold Australian Citizenship.
