About the role
As an APS6 Project Manager will be in charge of Property Strategy and Capital Works. As a Project Manager you shall coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program, project management and policy development that support the agency framework.  The position is a team leadership position and will have delegated authority, responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities across the organisation.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate end-to-end construction project management which will include planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and handover.
  • Perform research work and draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs, project reports, status updates and exception report.
  • Monitoring project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure.
  • Assist with procurement and contract management activity.
  • Identifying and assisting with program governance including the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
  • Reviewing projects to provide improvements and reviews on the effectiveness of service delivery.
Skills and Experience
Applicants must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position.
  • Experience or knwoledge on handling corporate, procurement and property services.
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal skills and has an aptitude for collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Has a high attention to detail and a focus on delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Be accountable and be a leader to the team.
  • Experience in handling project budgets, mangeing risk, procurement and contract management.
