We’re partnering with a large, purpose-driven federal organisation seeking an experienced APS6 Risk Advisor to join their team on a long-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across complex programs, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to meaningful national outcomes.
The Opportunity In this role, you’ll operate with a high level of autonomy, supporting business areas with expert risk advice while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
You’ll be at the centre of risk conversations — facilitating workshops, shaping frameworks, and helping teams proactively manage risk, incidents, and issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist risk advisory services across operational and strategic initiatives
- Facilitate risk workshops and support risk identification, assessment and treatment planning
- Apply and embed the organisation’s Risk Management Framework across business areas
- Partner with stakeholders to manage risks, incidents, and issues effectively
- Contribute to risk reporting, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support risk maturity uplift through education, guidance, and collaboration
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in risk management, including facilitating risk workshops
- Demonstrated ability to apply risk frameworks in complex environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity
Formal qualifications in Risk Management or related discipline.Â
