Job description

We are seeking Information Services Officers for short-term contract opportunities within a busy government information environment. These roles are full-time, Monday to Friday (approximately 8:30am–4:30pm, with some flexibility), and are based in the Adelaide CBD.

Multiple vacancies are available across the following role streams. Candidates may apply for one role or multiple roles, provided preferences are clearly indicated.

Role 1 – Processing Police Reports (Insurance Requests)

This role focuses on processing police report requests for insurance companies.

Key duties include:
  • Assessing police report application forms for validity
  • Interrogating internal databases to retrieve reports
  • Assessing suitability of information for release
  • Liaising with insurance companies
  • Managing invoicing processes

Role 2 – Intake Officer

This role supports the intake and triage of information requests from government agencies.

Key duties include:
  • Monitoring shared inboxes
  • Assessing and triaging high-volume requests
  • Recording requests accurately in SharePoint lists and EDRM systems
  • Ensuring data quality and adherence to established processes

Role 3 – Police-to-Police Information Requests

This role supports daily information exchanges with interstate policing jurisdictions.

Key duties include:
  • Assessing incoming email requests from interstate agencies
  • Interrogating internal databases to retrieve required information
  • Completing requests within strict daily deadlines (COB)
  • Applying sound judgement around information assessment and release

Key Requirements (All Roles)
  • Experience in information release, confidentiality, record keeping and data quality control
  • Ability to work in medium to high-volume environments and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to tone, formatting and accuracy
  • Confidence using Outlook and SharePoint
  • Exposure to EDRM or complex database systems (preferred)
  • Ability to work with a degree of autonomy once trained
