DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Communications & Events Officer (ASO5) to join a large South Australian public sector organisation. This exciting opportunity will see you develop and deliver communication, engagement and event initiatives across a diverse stakeholder environment.
Working within a fast-paced and collaborative team, you will play a key role in creating engaging communications, coordinating campaigns and events, and supporting organisation-wide engagement activities.

About the Role
- Coordinate and deliver communication, engagement and event initiatives.
- Develop accessible and engaging content across email communications, SMS, websites, digital platforms and video content.
- Support the planning and delivery of events, engagement activities and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor and evaluate communication performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide communications advice and support to business units across the organisation.
- Assist with the development and implementation of communication plans, governance processes and engagement strategies.
- Experience in communications, engagement, marketing and/or event coordination.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to create engaging content.
- Experience using CRM and digital communication platforms such as Mailchimp, Dynamics or similar systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant pre-employment screening clearances, including a Working with Children Check.
- Relevant qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
