Job description

Join a leading organisation within the automotive industry and play a key role in delivering technical warranty assessment and dealer support across a national network.We are seeking an experienced automotive professional with recent hands-on technical expertise and a strong background in warranty assessment, claim adjudication or dealer technical support. This role is focused on evaluating complex warranty claims and Service Claim Authorisations (SCAs), making sound technical decisions, and ensuring repairs comply with manufacturer requirements, Australian Consumer Law and internal policies.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working in a technical warranty, field service, workshop diagnostic or dealer support environment who is looking to join a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and adjudicate Service Claim Authorisations (SCAs), Goodwill Requests (GWRs) and dealer warranty claims.
  • Evaluate dealer diagnostics, repair methods and supporting documentation to determine claim validity.
  • Authorise or decline repairs based on technical findings, warranty policy and Australian Consumer Law obligations.
  • Provide clear technical recommendations and rationale for warranty decisions.
  • Support dealerships with technical guidance relating to warranty procedures, claim submissions and repair authorisations.
  • Investigate complex technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
  • Identify recurring product concerns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of technical resources, training materials and process improvements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Recent experience in technical warranty assessment, warranty adjudication, dealer technical support, field service operations, workshop diagnostics or a similar technical automotive role.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess repair quality, dealer diagnostics and warranty eligibility with confidence.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics and repair methodologies.
  • Experience interpreting and applying manufacturer warranty policies and Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across dealer networks and internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word).
  • Experience with SAP or warranty management systems will be highly regarded.
