Factory Supervisor / Operations Manager (Training Provided) – Stone Manufacturing
Location: Moe
Full-Time | Leadership Role | Training Into Industry Provided
Salary: $40 - $45 per hour
Lead a busy factory producing premium custom stone benchtops and surfaces. If you’re an experienced people leader who loves running a tight operation, we’ll train you in the stone industry and set you up to succeed.
This is a leadership-first opportunity. You don’t need prior stonemasonry or fabrication experience—what matters is your ability to lead a team, plan work, drive quality and safety, and keep production moving. You’ll be supported by experienced tradespeople and shown the technical side on the job.
About the Role
You’ll own day-to-day factory performance—people, workflow, safety and quality. You’ll coordinate jobs from start to finish, remove bottlenecks, and ensure the team delivers on time with consistently high standards.
Working closely with the office team, project staff and the production floor, you’ll plan daily priorities, allocate labour and materials, and keep everyone aligned on progress and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily factory operations and set clear priorities for the floor
- Allocate jobs, roster labour and balance workload across workstations
- Drive on-time delivery by managing schedules, throughput and constraints
- Coach, support and motivate a team of trades and production staff
- Champion safety every day and maintain WHS/OH&S compliance
- Coordinate with office staff, project managers and suppliers to keep jobs moving
- Identify improvements to systems, layout and workflow to lift efficiency and quality
- Oversee job tracking, materials flow and production planning/reporting
You’re a confident, practical leader who can organise a team, make decisions and follow through. You don’t need stone industry experience, but you will bring:
- Proven supervisory/management experience in manufacturing, warehousing, construction, trades, logistics (or similar)
- Strong planning skills—able to juggle priorities and keep work on track
- Operational mindset with a focus on throughput, quality and continuous improvement
- Clear communication—able to set expectations and hold people accountable respectfully
- Hands-on approach and willingness to learn a specialist manufacturing process
- Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfort with basic systems (job tracking, scheduling, email and reporting)
- Structured on-the-job training in stone manufacturing and fabrication workflows
