  • Full Stack Developer
  • Hourly Rate: $120 - $150 , inc Super
  • Work Type: Labour Hire Contract 
  • Location: Canberra, ACT
  • Work Rights: Australian citizens with Baseline or higher security clearance only
  • Contract period: untill 30th June 2023 with the possibility of up to 2 x 12 month extensions.
About the Organisation
Our client who operates within the Federal Government and are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join their team. A large federal government department that develops and implements policies and programs to ensure Australia’s industries remain competitive, profitable, and sustainable.

About the role
You will be joining a Federal Government Organisation and specifically a team focusing on supporting the risk management of imported goods in Australia. With hybrid working options, you will be supporting the department with a variety of projects, as well as maintaining existing platforms across .NET / .NET Core.
You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure and contribute to the backend business logic. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products are important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outcomes to support the risk management of Australian imported goods.
  • Develop and set up .NET / .NET Core applications, troubleshooting and resolving any issues with the platform.
  • Develop and implement user interface elements with existing libraries and pattens (Material-UI).
  • Work autonomously to ensure delivery of required outcomes at an exceptional level of quality.
  • Implement best practices when utilising all platforms, including taking on feedback/ suggestions for improvements.
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex large-scale applications using technology stacks including: • Microsoft Web API • Modern JavaScript frameworks such as Typescript • .Net Core • C#.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex large-scale applications using technology stacks including: • Reactive frontend frameworks including React • Experience with PowerShell automation • JavaScript • RESTful APIs development
  • Working knowledge with relational database tools like SQL Server.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps build/release pipelines and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a flair for creating innovative solutions. Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolset.
