Job description

The Opportunity 

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract. The role will be based in Melbourne CBD and will report to the Senior Project Manager working on large scale integration projects with multiple suppliers. 

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of solution changes and enhancements including hardware, software and infrastructure. Planning is done in close coordination with multiple parties including relevant government agencies and key subcontractors. 
Delivery of projects covers the full project life cycle, starting from planning through to design, software development, field installation, back office development and configuration and final commissioning ready for public use. 

Responsibilities include; 
  • Developing an integrated project plan and all relevant project artefacts
  • Plan and track progress
  • Perform post-project reviews
  • Identify issues and change requests and mange project scope and change 
  • Produce project artefacts including schedule and plan using MS Project
  • Set and manage project communication with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with contractual obligations to the client 
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; 
  • Project management experience specifically working on externally delivered projects working with multiple key clients 
  • Certificate in project management - PMP or Prince2 preferred
  • Experience reporting on project financials and tracking actuals against budget
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision 
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills 
  • Experience delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders - local and offshore
