Senior Manager, People and Culture
Brisbane | Initial 6‑month contract (possible extension)
Purpose of the Role
Provide senior‑level industrial relations, employee relations and HR advisory support, partnering with leaders to manage complex people matters, organisational change, and workforce initiatives.

Purpose of the Role
Provide senior‑level industrial relations, employee relations and HR advisory support, partnering with leaders to manage complex people matters, organisational change, and workforce initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver authoritative IR/HR/ER advice to managers and stakeholders, including performance management, underperformance, grievances and disciplinary matters
- Support certified agreement processes in line with QPSC requirements
- Advise on organisational design, position descriptions and restructure/change management activities
- Partner with external service providers to support HR case management and reporting
- Contribute to the development and review of HR frameworks, policies and procedures
- Support workforce planning, change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare high‑quality reports, submissions and briefings for executives
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, including union engagement where required
- Operate in accordance with Government governance, risk, WHS and records management frameworks
- Strong ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, awards and agreements
- Proven experience advising senior leaders on complex workforce and employee relations issues
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong written communication, reporting and briefing skills
- Demonstrated change management, project management and organisational restructure experience
- Ability to facilitate HR‑related training and education sessions
- Analytical, solution‑focused and able to work autonomously or collaboratively
- Effective time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary HR and employee relations practices
- Strong understanding of public sector IR systems, legislation, policies and procedures
- High level experience working within or alongside government HR frameworks
