Job description

Our client supplies to the building industry and is looking for a Store Manager with a trade background to join their Coburg based team.  The Trade Store Manager works with customers to provide advice, provide quotes, take orders, and ensure a high level of customer service, whilst also overseeing the management of the distribution warehouse.

Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Provide in store customer service to trade customers
• Achieve Sales and Operational targets
• Manage client queries to provide satisfactory resolutions
• Take orders and enter into the system
• Attract new customers to the company
• Manage procurement and price negotiation of trade products from major suppliers
• Maintenance of Trade Price List
• General office administration of the trade counter & store
• Management of the Warehouse including management of trade counter and warehouse staff along with organisation of transport for good dispatch and assistance when required

To be successful in this position you will need to have a trade background and possess the following skills and attributes:
• Strong customer service skills
• Great communication and influencing skills
• Ability to perform well under pressure with strong organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Be computer literate and process savvy
• Be capable of working responsibly and autonomously
• Can do and positive attitude

As a hands-on, pro-active candidate you will thrive on the opportunity to make this position your own and willing to learn and grow the business. Experience in the construction industry and sales administration will be highly regarded although not essential.
