Job description

  • Multiple Federal Government opportunities in Parramatta
  • 12-month contract with possible extension
  • $55.24 per hour + super
  • Hybrid work arrangement
The position is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex research, analysis, and advice work including legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents guide the position as it provides procurement advice.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Providing procurement advice to agency business areas.
  • Establishing appropriate procurement methodologies.
  • Preparing procurement documentation, evaluating tenders, and negotiating contracts.
  • Providing administrative and procurement support.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement rules and policies.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Providing timely advice to stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and achieving work area objectives.
 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience in Federal, State, or Local Government.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage high-volume requests and multitask.
  • Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Procurement experience or Cert IV in Procurement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in professional document writing.
  • Previous experience using finance business system
