A large federal government department that improves the wellbeing of Australia by providing guidance and efficient administration of federal financial relations.
 
About the role
 
The department is seeking the services of a Program Management Support Officer to help deliver strategic business transformations.
 
The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience and understanding of:
  • program management office processes
  • providing general administrative support as well as assisting with secretariat support for governance meetings etc.
  • adapting quickly to the departments environment and adding value to division through providing a high level of support within the Program, engaging with colleagues and business users as well as by delivering a range of high-quality work artefacts.
Skills and Experience
 
Applicants MUST have an active baseline clearance to be eligible for this position.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to create productive working relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining program/project artefacts, e.g. risk and issue logs and change control records
  • Experience with Microsoft products, EXCEL, VISIO, Word etc
  • Experience of working on IT programs/projects and provision of secretariat support.
  • Familiarity with Federal Government recruitment and financial processes
  • Knowledge and experience of formal program/project management methodologies such as Prince II, AGILE and/or MSP is desirable
  • Experience with using DevOps
