Job description

An exciting opportunity exists to join a supportive State Government team, providing high-level administrative and business support across a range of operational areas. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to key service delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the business unit.
  • Undertake business research, analysis, reporting, and implementation activities.
  • Manage shared mailboxes and ensure timely responses to internal and external enquiries.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing.
  • Support cost monitoring and data management processes aligned with operational objectives.

Skills and experience:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, data analysis, formulas).
  • Strong experience in accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in State Government environments.
  • Ability to clean, analyse, and interpret large datasets to support cost monitoring.
