Job description

Our Federal Government client is currenty seeking to fill an APS4 Procurement and Contracts Officer position within their Brisbane CBD branch.
This role is offering an initial 12 month contract, with the view to extend; paying $42.54 per hour + 10.5% super. 

The Role 

The procurement team is responsible for parterning with business areas to procure oods and services for the Agency. Their focus is to apply Commonwealth Procurement Rues, the Agency policies to ensure value for money. 
As an APS4 Procurement you will be responsible for providing advice, support and research services to the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch. 

Reponsibilities may include but are not limited to: 
  • Maintaining a practical understanding of procurement and contracting functions and applying relevant legislative and policy guidance.
  • Undertaking research and analysis activities and drafting initial documentation to support simple to complex procurements.
  • Providing administrative support to the Procurement team.
  • Initiating drafting of procurement related documentation.
  • Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate Agency reporting.
  • Contributing to team planning activities and identifying opportunities for improvements.

About You 
To be successful within this posiiton you will: 
  • Have competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (Access is also desirable)
  • Have knowledge of SAP or other related Procurement based systems
  • Have knowledge of end-to-end procurement activities
  • Have the ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilitities. 
  • Have an understanding or lived experience with disability
