Multiple opportunities are available for Clerical Assistants and Clerical Supervisors to support the Electoral Commission during an upcoming election period. These roles involve high-volume clerical processing and quality control activities critical to election delivery.
Successful candidates must be able to commit to full-time hours for the entire duration of the assignment, with some overtime and weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities
- Receipt, sorting and processing of postal vote applications
- Quality assurance and validity checking of electoral documentation
- Collation and preparation of ballot materials for mailout
- Processing declaration votes, including categorisation and verification
- Counting and processing ballot papers
- Accurate data entry and verification of declaration vote returns
- Packaging and handling of ballot papers and declaration envelopes
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Assisting Supervisors and supporting broader CPC operations as required
- Adhering strictly to procedures, safety requirements and confidentiality obligations
- National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months (essential)
- Demonstrated clerical or administrative experience in an office environment
- Strong alpha-numeric data entry skills with high accuracy
- Sound keyboard skills (intermediate speed minimum)
- Competence in alphabetic and numeric sorting
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to follow procedures exactly and work to deadlines
- Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills
- Proven reliability, punctuality and attendance
- Australian working rights with ability to provide evidence
- Availability to commence next week and work through to mid–late November
- Availability to work rostered hours, including overtime and weekends
- No participation in, or intention to participate in, political affairs
- Engagement is approximately 5 weeks, full time
