About the Organisation

A large federal government department that develops and implements policies and programs to ensure Australia’s industries remain competitive, profitable, and sustainable.

About the role

The department requires highly skilled and experienced individuals to support the delivery of an 18-month exercise program focused on preparedness and response activities.

To assist with the planning, development and delivery of the exercise program, the department requires the services of one contractor at the APS 4 or APS 5.

Skills and Experience
  • Highly developed organisational skills and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be agile and flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to quickly pick up new processes, concepts and tasks.
  • Excellent administration, logistics and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor communication style and level to the relevant audience.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate within their team to support the delivery of key outcomes.
  • Experience working with, and managing, a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
  • Research, analysis, and synthesis skills.
  • Experience within a secretariat, event logistics and an understanding of IT set up for events and meetings (online and face to face).
  • Experience with the Mircosoft Office Suite, SharePoint and TRIM
  • Experince within a Project Administration position is highly desirbale.
