This departments primary mission is to protect Australia and its national interests, promote security and stability in the world, and support the Australian community as directed by the Government.
 
About the role
 
This fast-paced role requires consistent and routine (daily/weekly) delivery of the following tasks:
  • Monitor group inbox for inbound tasks/emails and actions for Branch Head.
  • Update and maintain Branch task tracker
  • Run daily SCRUM meetings with Branch leadership (AGILE format) to discuss and agree on task leads, and negotiate and set timeframes in response to tasking and AS CPD calendar.
  • Issue tasking emails in a timely fashion as agreed in SCRUM, with appropriately filed objective links
  • Maintain branch leadership accountability with task delivery and agreed timeframes
  • Coordinate and consolidate responses to appropriate tasks as agreed in SCRUM
  • Facilitate clearance with Branch Assistant Secretary (in concert with executive assistant)
  • Progress tasks to appropriate stakeholders outside of branch
  • Ongoing admin tasks - Objective filing and inbox management/organisation functions
Skills and Experience
 
Applicants MUST have a baseline clearance to be eligible for this role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to create, maintain and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent administration and negotiation skills
  • Experince using SRUM, intermediate level of Objective are desirable skills
