Job description

The Digital Media team, nested within the Media Branch, focuses on crafting and disseminating strategic video content for the organisation. From filming to editing and publishing, the team ensures high-quality, accessible content that amplifies the experiences within the agency framework.
 
About the Role:
As an APS5 Digital Media Producer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the objectives of the organisation by creating compelling video content. You will navigate through tasks where options might not always be apparent, executing procedural, administrative, and operational duties that align with the organisations mission.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Produce video content adhering to the organisations Video Style and Brand Guidelines, ensuring distribution across various digital platforms.
  • Manage technical production aspects such as camera operation, lighting, and sound recording.
  • Coordinate and direct shoots, including interviews with participants, staff, and the general public.
  • Undertake post-production tasks, including video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, motion graphics creation (Adobe After Effects), colour grading, media encoding, and platform delivery.
  • Offer technical and creative guidance, supporting the pre-production phase.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the organisation’s Video Recording Studio.
 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production processes.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting techniques, and sound recording.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and practices for digital media is desirable.
