Job description

The Role

On behalf of a large federal government agency we have multiple opportunities for APS5 Program Support Officers. The roles will be 12 months and can be based in Geelong, Sunshine or Box Hill. 

The APS5 Program Support Officer will join a newly formed team playing a key role in the implementation of a new government strategy. The team works closely with Health Liasion Officers, Policy teams and National Delivery team members. 

The responsibilities include but are not limited to; 
  • Providing technical expertise across a range of programs including systems and people performance, financial, knowledge and change management 
  • Assist with maintaining process and documentation relating to service delivery, ensuring alignment to legislation and policy 
  • Utilise risk and change management principles to ensure impacts are communicated to relevant parties
  • Coordinate and analyse data and written information for the purpose of drafting internal and external communications 
  • Maintain sound understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks
  • Assist with the collation and audits of workforce planning data
  • Apply innovation initiatives to maximise benefits of change and contribute to the improvement in quality and efficiency of services
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when experience major changes in work responsibilities or environment and adjust to changes effectively 
  • Experience in program support within government context
  • Ability to maintain a well-developed understanding of legislation and policy frameworks 
  • Well developed time management and organisational skills
