About the role
 
As an APS6 Project Officer, you will be responsible for:
  • Establish and execute contracts and procurement.
  • Undertake and manage program and project level finances, including budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Manage and report on Program funding.
  • Review Program documents and support stakeholders to complete project proposals and business cases.
  • Prepare Program briefing including ministerial correspondence, briefings, website material and assessment reports.
  • Contribute to speeches, submissions, replies to parliamentary questions and reports.
  • Communicate and engage with stakeholders on Program activities.
  • Review and prepare Program and project reports.
  • Contribute to other corporate and administrative tasks as needed.
Skills and Experience
 
Applicants MUST have an active baseline clearance to be eligible for this position.
  • Experience and knowledge of financial management in an APS environment, including managing budgets, payment of invoices and accruals.
  • Experience in procurement and contracting in an APS environment, including familiarity with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Commonwealth Contracting Suite.
  • Well developed written communication skills, including experience in drafting departmental briefs, talking points and project reports.
