Job description


DFP Perth is seeking a skilled Commerical Advisor for a short-term temporary role with a State Government client, starting immediately. 


Position:
Commerical Advisor  
Location: Perth 
Contract Length: 6 Months 
Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday 
Start Date: As Soon As Possible 
Rate of Pay: $63.45-$69.59 per hour plus Superannuation (Level 5) 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

Procurement and Contract Management: 
  • Liaise with suppliers for quotes, terms negotiation, and timely delivery. 
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and databases. 
  • Ensure transparency and probity in procurement and contracting. 
  • Assist in supplier proposal evaluation and procurement panels. 
  • Support procurement and contract management plans. 
  • Monitor and report on contract performance and compliance. 
  • Resolve disputes and issues with suppliers. 
  • Handle contract variations and approvals. 
  • Verify contractor invoices and recommend payment. 
  • Ensure contractor compliance with insurance and deliverables. 

Financial Analysis and Reporting: 
  • Support business case development with financial data. 
  • Analyze financial trends, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Monitor commercial performance metrics for improvements. 
  • Assist with financial analysis and contract modeling. 
  • Use finance systems for accurate data analysis. 

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: 
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and industry briefings. 
  • Collaborate with project teams for commercial activity alignment. 
  • Promote the Business Transformation Program and support change management. 

Risk Management Support: 
  • Draft Program Risk Management Framework. 
  • Develop Program Risk Register and risk reporting. 
  • Conduct risk assessments for business case options.
