Job description

Hourly rate: $65-80 per hour plus Super (depending on experience)
Duration: 2 year fixed-term contract (6-month initial probation period)
Hours: Full-time
Location: East Perth
Type: Fixed-term – Temporary Contract
Hours: 40 hours per week – 8 hours per day - between the hours of 6am-6pm
 
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Support for a 2-year fixed-term contract assignment in East Perth.
 
They are looking for an individual with extensive experience (a minimum of 15 years, preferably more) in undertaking environmental assessments and obtaining approvals under the Environmental Protection Act (both Part IV and Part V (Clearing Permits)) as well and the Commonwealth Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act within Western Australia. The experience should ideally be in assessments and approvals for terrestrial linear infrastructure such as roads.
 
ROLE

Function:
High Level environmental support to CRSP function involving:
  • Technical review of Main Roads and consultant reports.
  • Liaison with regulators.
  • Technical advice to Environment Branch staff and contractors.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE (Attach further details if required.)
ESSENTIAL:
  • Extensive (15+ years) experience in environmental assessments and approvals under the EP and EPBC acts.
  • Experience with linear infrastructure.
