Job description

Marketing Manager (L6)
Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager (L6) for an initial 6-month casual contract in Fremantle.
 
Rate:                $55-65 per hour plus Super
Duration:          6 months
Location:          Fremantle
Hours:              Full-time
Type:               Casual contract
Start:               ASAP - Preferably in the next few weeks
Required:         Must have current police clearance (within 3 months)
 
Role and Scope
  • In conjunction with the Director Marketing & Events implement the strategic destination marketing plan.
  • Project manage, develop and implement campaigns, maintaining brand consistency and integration with relevant areas of the business.
  • Review and utilise campaign and market research to assist in setting campaign objectives, reporting objectives and developing briefs for campaigns.
  • Monitor, review and report on campaign and marketing activities and projects.
  • Provide evaluation to internal clients and key stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Provide marketing services to internal clients to assist them in achieving their business objectives.
  • Undertake effective consultation and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, advertising creative and media buying agencies, industry and other parties to maximise effectiveness of campaigns
  • Manage and coordinate the creative advertising production activities and media buying process with the client's contracted agencies and other suppliers.
  • Create industry partnerships and share market intelligence to maximize participation in and effectiveness of, activities which promote the client.
  • Build relationships knowledge and understanding of the tourism sector.
  • Lead and develop a team.
  • Manage the marketing budget efficiently
  • Oversee marketing governance, policy, procedure development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain the master RIA brand style guide.
  • Undertakes other duties as directed.

Selection Criteria
Essential
  • Demonstrated recent experience in the implementation of innovative marketing strategies, preferably in the tourism context.
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a broader management team within a diverse organisation.
  • A good understanding of marketing competence, concepts and current trends in the tourism industry.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage work against project timelines, including budget management.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including creative writing skills applicable to a marketing context.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to establishing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience providing marketing services, preferably in the internal client context.
  • Behaviour that reflects Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Desirable
  • A tertiary level qualification, or substantial progress towards, in Business, Tourism, Marketing or similar.
  • Developed knowledge of the tourism industry.
