Job description

About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking an experienced mid-level Java and PL-SQL Developers for a 6-month contract term.  The developer must have Java and Java Scripting development experience as 60-70% of the work would be of development.
 
Your daily duties will include:
  • Build SQL scripts which will enable data migration in the agency.
  • Analyse, design, develop, test, and implement interface changes according to agency system delivery methodology (SDM), using Java technology.
  • Undertake business and technical support, code analysis, scripting, and Java development (mostly code modification and troubleshooting).
Skills and Experience
As the opportunity is with Federal government client, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT.
  • Working experience in mid-size to large size organization.
  • Has a high attention to detail and a focus on delivery in a fast-paced environment by establishing priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving complex client and stakeholder related queries, excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Java scripting and writing complicated SQL queries.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be accountable for outcomes.
  • Ability to self-learn and develop own skills.
