DFP Recruitment is currently recruiting a Project Manager to join one of our esteemed Financial Service clients in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and deliver key transformation projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
 
Company Overview:
Join a progressive team working closely with a leading Financial Services client in Sydney. As a Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of key transformation initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in project management within the financial sector.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team through the project lifecycle, meticulously planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans encompassing budgeting, timelines, schedules, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Ensure alignment with objectives and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, resolve issues, and initiate appropriate corrective action.
  • Adhere to the client’s governance and delivery frameworks.
  • Manage the project budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered benefits.
  • Facilitate the appointment of individuals to project teams.
  • Ensure delivery of new products or services meets quality, time, and budget constraints.
  • Manage risks to the project's successful outcome.
  • Collaborate with the business change manager on the transition to the new business-as-usual position.
 
Primary Skills Required:
 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Experience in delivering IT, People, and Administration projects, including transitions for superannuation mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated track record in planning, executing, and delivering large complex programs/projects on time and on budget.
  • Project Management qualifications such as Prince2 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with either Bluedoor or HiTrust will be desirable.
 
Skill Capabilities:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership abilities and adaptability in dynamic project environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate challenges effectively.
  • Familiarity with Financial Services industry practices and regulations.
