  • Hybrid opportunity in Barangaroo, Sydney
  • Initial 6 months contract with possibility of extension
Are you an experienced financial line claims professional with the desire to excel and drive a culture of industry excellence?
 
An exciting and rare opportunity has become available to join the Specialist Financial Lines Advocacy Claims team in Sydney.
 
As one of five national FINPRO Senior Claims Advocates you will be responsible for providing comprehensive specialist end to end support to our valued clients experiencing complex, high quantum, high profile and major loss financial lines claims.
 
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Conduct thorough coverage analysis and provide expert advice on claim construction, interpretation, and coverage issues.
  • Develop tailored claim strategies for urgent, media-sensitive, and complex litigated matters.
  • Provide detailed rationale and guidance to clients during post-loss meetings, ensuring a clear understanding of available coverages and recommended claim strategies.
  • Collaborate with insurer markets, legal counsel, and clients to develop and execute strategies for actively litigated matters.
  • Maximize client coverage outcomes through comprehensive analysis and strategic guidance.
  • Mentor internal financial lines claims staff on legal and coverage complexities.
  • Draft detailed correspondence and submissions for insurers.
  • Attend site inspections, mediations, and meetings as necessary.
 You will Have:
  • Legal Degree with 5+ years PQE preferred, along with experience in private practice. Alternatively, strong financial lines claim background is acceptable
  • Technical expertise in managing complex financial lines insurance claims.
  • Ability to autonomously manage large, complex matters while maintaining quality and customer service.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Team player with excellent time management and decision-making abilities.
