About the Organisation
A Federal Government Department looking to engage an APS4 Executive Assistant for a 12 month contract. 
Please note ONLY candidates with a minimum of BASELINE CLEARANCE will be considered. NV1 Preferred. 

About the Role
  • Manage the Principal’s calendar and liaise with Departmental Executive Assistants and Staff Officers to coordinate meetings, attendance, room allocation, ICT needs and briefing requirements.
  • In consultation with the SO, forecast work load for the short (daily), medium (week) and longer term (one month out) to de-conflict commitments ahead of time
  • Answer incoming phone calls to ensure they are answered in a timely manner.
  • Prepare the Principal’s reading material and meeting papers in consultation with the Staff Officer.
  • Manage Principal’s service vehicles, including documentation, arranging cleaning and servicing.
  • Organise domestic and international travel for the Principal.
  • Manage operating budget on behalf of the Director General in accordance with procurement policies.
The role will require the successful candidate to:
  • Perform moderately complex tasks and activities that support the delivery of procedural, administrative, financial and business support activities.
  • Work collaboratively in a team based environment actively participating in and contributing to information exchange and team objectives.
  • Seek clarity and understand the reasons for decisions and recommendations and be able to explain to others how they are relevant to the work being undertaken.
