Project Officer (APS5–APS6 equivalent) Performance, Quality & Improvement | Multiple Roles

  • APS6 Project Officer – $60.26/hr + Super
  • APS5 Project Officer – $55.24/hr + Super
  • Contract till 31 Dec 2026 with possible extension
  • Hybrid work arrangements
  • Australian Citizenship required

A large Australian Government agency is seeking motivated Project Officers at APS5–APS6 equivalent level to support high-impact projects focused on performance, quality and continuous improvement across a national service delivery environment.

What you’ll do
  • Support and deliver projects using structured project management approaches
  • Coordinate planning, reporting, risks, issues and quality activities
  • Analyse data, trends and insights to inform decision-making and improvement
  • Prepare briefs, reports, dashboards and executive-level documentation
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate complex information into clear advice
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, performance and quality initiatives
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in project coordination or project delivery (APS5–APS6 equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working with data, reporting tools and Microsoft 365 (especially Excel)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong judgement, initiative and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in government or large, complex organisations is desirable
