  • 3 Months initial contract with possible further extension
  • $60.62 - $68.45 per hour + super
Our client is the lead Australian Government agency responsible for the long-term protection, ecologically sustainable use, understanding and enjoyment of The Great Barrier Reef.
 
The Role
 
The APS6 Project Manager – Business Reform supports the Assistant Director, Permission Systems and Compliance, by driving projects that improve and streamline regulatory processes within the permission system. This role collaborates across multiple teams to deliver effective business reform, ensuring the permissions system remains efficient and risk-based.
 
The position may exercise delegations under the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975, Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, and relevant agency policies and procedures.
 
Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Project manage and be the business point of contact for external contractors developing business requirements for a potential new data system to support the permit requirements for access and use in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Parks.
  • Coordinate and synthesis information from the internal permissions assessment teams, subject matter experts and external contractors to ensure accurate recommendations and evidence-based decisions.
  • Manage project deliverables, budget, procurement record keeping activities in accordance with Commonwealth requirements, policies and procedures.  
  • Develop and contribute to the business case, options analysis and recommendations to support informed investment and implementation decisions.
