Job description

This Federal Government Agency is looking for an APS6 Intelligence Analyst to join the Fraud and Compliance branch and work across the fraud control program. This role works as part of a team by making a contribution to the development, planning and production of intelligence outputs and outcomes.  
This role will commence ASAP and has an estimated length of 12 months with possible further extension and is based in Brisbane CBD.

The Role:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
  • Analyse, integrate and evaluate information to produce accurate and informative intelligence reports
  • Conduct formal and informal discussions with staff, customers and third parties to obtain required information
  • Contribute to changes in the workplace practices and process improvements
  • Provide administrative support for the team
  • Undertake activities to identify trends and reports on control weaknesses for referral to senior staff
  • Maintain databases and assist with developing robust intelligences store
  • Use a range of analytical tools to assist in producing reports
  • Identify emerging intelligence risks and evolving methodologies
  • Work closely with other intelligence professionals, operations teams and external parties to ensure that intelligence outputs are supporting the strategic and operational needs of the business
About you:
  • To be considered for this role candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Previous Federal Government experience
  • Ability to analyse multiple sources of information to identify risk
  • Experience producing accurate and concise written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and to deadlines
  • High level understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals
