Job description

Our state government client is seeking two suitable candidates for an initial 6 month contract with possible extension in the following positions: 
  • Performance Based Standards Support; OR
  • Route Assessment Support.
These roles are ideal for candidates with strong administration and customer service backgrounds. Exposure to civil or construction environments may be an advantage. 

Start: July 2024 
Location: Redcliffe, WA with occasional travel when required (including overnight stays) 
Hours: Full-time - 38 hours per week 
Duration: Initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension 
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rates) 

Rates 
Normal: $39.80 per hour plus Super 
Saturday (7:30am-12:30pm): $47.76 per hour plus Super 
Weekend OT (first two hours): $55.72 per hour 
Weekend OT (after 2 hours): $71.64 per hour 
Sunday: $71.64 per hour plus Super 
Public Holiday: $87.56 per hour plus Super 

Travel Involving Overnight Stay  
For overnight travel, accommodation is booked and paid by the client. Meals are reimbursed, but are capped at the applicable rates based on time of day and distance travelled.  

ROLE DESCRIPTION
  • Assess requests and issue appropriate Permits for Restricted Access Vehicles (RAV). 
  • Provide Timely and accurate advice to customers on RAV related matters. 
  • Provide responsive advice to enable timely and efficient processing, issue, and reissue of permits. 
  • Participate and provide support for the planning and technical functions associated with RAVS access to the road network. 
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the section’s practices and processes. 
  • Perform route assessments for safety, access or infrastructure and development initiatives. 
  • Provide advice and assistance to the Helpdesk in attending and resolving customer enquiries. 
  • Build and maintain professional and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders by providing a responsive and accurate information service. 
  • Build and enhance working relationships with the access section team members, external stakeholders. 
 Note: Requires some Regional travel and overnight stays are required from time to time. 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE 
ESSENTIAL: 
  • Provision of customer focused service. 
  • Work organisation with the ability to meet work schedules and deadlines. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. 
  • Ability to use initiative in problem solving and decision making. 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team. 
PRE-ENGAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS 
  • Full working rights within Australia 
  • Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain if successful) 
  • Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
