Business Analyst – Payroll Specialist
Contract Duration: 12 months
Commencement: ASAP (short notice periods considered)
Location: Fremantle, WA
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Rate: $55 per hour + super

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Business Analyst – Payroll Specialist to support the successful delivery of a Payroll Replacement Project. Reporting to the Projects & Business Systems Manager, you will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, evaluating existing payroll processes, and supporting the configuration and implementation of a new payroll system aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inputs from external service providers and collaborate with IT and user teams across analysis, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Translate high-level business concepts into detailed technical workplans for development teams.
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions and evaluating output requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather and validate information.
  • Advise system users and owners on IT options to meet business requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in HR, ERP, and payroll-related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis frameworks and tools (e.g. BABOK, BPMN).
  • Proficient in data analysis using Excel, SQL, and other platforms.
  • Skilled in producing clear, accurate documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
