The Organisation
Our client is a registered charity located in East Gippsland seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their team. This organisation delivers holistic approaches to areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders and Disability and Early Childhood Education. With a staff of around 160 they are seeking a self-motivates, individual with strong interpersonal skills.

The Opportunity
The Corporate Accountant provides critical financial expertise and management to assist the Finance Manager in supporting the organisations strategic direction and sustainable financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the financial accounting, including accounts receivable, reporting, budgets, audits, statutory compliance, and acquittals
  • Provide insightful and timely financial reporting, forecasting, analysis and advice to the General Managers and Executive team.
  • Coordinate the journaling and reconciliation of the depreciation schedule, balance sheet, clearing accounts, credit cards and bank accounts
  • Coordinate fleet management and property valuations
  • Identify and implement initiatives
  • Manage external stakeholder relationships
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the facilitation and co-ordination of the budgeting process
  • Continuous improvement of financial system, processes

  • Tertiary qualified in Business, Accounting or Finance related stream
  • Experienced in accounting for a community organization
  • CPA or CA Qualified (desirable)
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Experienced in a complex and changing environment
  • Proven experience of influencing business decisions through your financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and remain neutral
  • Hold a current Drivers Licence
  • Understanding of Indigenous culture (desirable)
