Procurement and Contract Manager 
State Government | 3–6 Month Contract | Perth CBD 

Our state government client is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to join their team. This opportunity will support business continuity while a permanent appointment is completed. 

This is a hands-on delivery role suited to an experienced procurement and contract management professional with state government experience who can step in and assist the team. 

Title: Contract and Procurement Manager 
Rate: $65–$90 per hour + super (flexible based on experience) 
Start: ASAP 
Hours: Full-time 
Location: Perth CBD 
Duration: 3 months, with possible 3 month extension

Key Responsibilities 
  • Managing end-to-end procurement and contract activities in line with WA Government policies and relevant legislation 
  • Preparing and administering procurement documentation, including RFQs, RFTs, evaluations, contracts, variations, and extensions 
  • Providing advice on procurement strategy, risk, compliance, and value for money 
  • Supporting contract performance monitoring, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement 
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation in accordance with governance and audit requirements 
Portfolio split: 
50% ICT procurement 
25% Temporary Personnel Services / labour hire 
25% Community services contracts 

About the Role 
  • No staff management responsibilities 
  • Individual tasks allocated based on priorities 
  • Requires the ability to work independently and hit the ground running 
  • Strong focus on delivery, compliance, and practical problem-solving 
What We’re Looking For 
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management within a WA Government or similar public sector environment 
  • Strong knowledge of procurement frameworks, governance, and compliance requirements 
  • Experience across ICT, labour hire, or community services contracts will be highly regarded 
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and written communication skills
