The role
The Data Quality Specialist will lead the implementation of the Data Quality Framework across the Agency and the appropriate reporting on data quality. They will be responsible for contributing with expert knowledge to the establishment of the required technology to enable monitoring and reporting on data quality.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Document the lineage and establish specific controls for essential and Critical data elements
- Liaise with Agency stakeholders to uplift data processes to align with Agency consistent guidelines
- Propose and implement solutions to data quality problems, in line with the overarching data governance framework and other relevant policies and procedures
- Design and implement metric reporting on data quality dimensions for the Agency.
- Review and analyse data to identify areas of improvement
- Monitor and optimise data accuracy and validity -Implement process and systems to ensure data quality
- Develop and manage data metrics and reports
- Maintain and update data dictionaries
- Analyse data to find trends and anomalies
- The Data Quality Specialist will demonstrate strong experience in collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and monitor critical data elements
- Support data stewardship and data governance principles and practices
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a fast-paced and dynamic business setting.
