EL1 Contract Management Lead

Employment Type: Non-ongoing (Contract) Open to S26 Transfer
Salary Range: $120,000 – $135,000 + 15.4% Superannuation

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated EL1 Contract Manager Lead to join a high-performing government agency. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proven ability to deliver results within a complex procurement and governance environment.

In this leadership role, you will:
  • Deliver high-level contract management and procurement advice across the organisation.
  • Review, implement, and maintain contract management frameworks, policies, and templates.
  • Support and upskill contract managers through education, training, and guidance.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline, automate, and improve contract management processes.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to deliver positive business outcomes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure contractual compliance.
You’ll work collaboratively with procurement specialists and business areas to ensure contracts are managed effectively and consistently across the agency.

To be successful, you’ll bring:
  • Proven experience in Commonwealth procurement and contract management 
  • Strong understanding of the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), and related frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading and mentoring staff in a corporate or government environment.
  • Qualifications in procurement, contract management, business or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
