Our client conducts independent merits review of administrative decisions made under Commonwealth laws. They review decisions made by Australian Government Ministers, Departments, and Agencies and, in limited circumstances, decisions made by state government and non-government bodies.
 
The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented APS4 Finance Officer to join the Corporate Finance Team. This position requires strong accounting or finance skills, proven experience working with SAP Financial systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
 
As a Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely payment of application fee refunds and travel allowances. Your attention to detail will help maintain the integrity of financial operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative and clerical support, including processing, verifying, and reconciling refunds and allowances. You will handle all fees and travel-related enquiries, maintain comprehensive records across multiple systems, and liaise closely with applicants and Registry staff to ensure smooth transactions.
 
Key capabilities and experience include but are not limited to:
  • Excellent attention to detail and experience in ensuring accurate processing of payments, travel, and other transactions.
  • Knowledge of and experience in using financial systems such as SAP and experienced in working with multiple systems and Excel workbooks concurrently, that is basic Excel skills as a minimum to enter, collect and present verified financial information.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communications skills, including ability to clearly articulate the issue and / or action to be taken.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute instructions as directed by senior team members and work collaboratively with the team to promptly action tasks.
