DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Infrastructure engineer to join our Federal Government Client team.
Role responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) and related activities.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance on delivery of desktop and mobility solutions, including impacts to end user experience.
- Provide 3rd level SOE support for desktop related problem management cases, acting as an escalation point within the services team.
- Document as built configurations.
- Maintain and implement Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Essential Eight (E8) security controls and associated services in relation to the SOE.
- Work with the AEC Cyber Security team to provide assurance on the effectiveness of E8 controls.
Mandatory Criteria
- Strong knowledge of Windows, networking and cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of the ISM and Essential 8.
- Microsoft Azure Proficiency: Strong experience in deploying or supporting Microsoft Azure environments, including VM, SQL, ADDS, NSG, AVD, Storage, Azure Migrate, and ASR.
- Directory Services & Automation: Highly skilled in Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, Group Policy Management, DHCP, DNS, and NPS.
- Proven experience in a Level 3 support role, preferably within an enterprise environment.
- Participate in after-hours in support of election events and patching activities.
Desirable Criteria
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience leading or assisting in designing, implementing and supporting Infrastructure and Cloud solutions.
- Backup Technologies: experience with solutions such as HP/Dell/Cisco storage appliances and backup and replication products such as Veeam or ArcServe.
Others
Hold (or must be able to obtain) minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 Clearance.
