Job description

We are seeking a number of experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our client who is a Federal Government Agency. The position would perfectly suit someone who has experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a hospital or community setting wanting to branch out into the public sector.

The Role and Responsibilities
 
You will be operating in a call centre environment answering queries and providing relevant information regarding the Australian Government’s Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
You’ll provide high quality customer service and timely advice for pharmaceutical issues, and liaising with a range of both internal and external stakeholders.
 
About You 

Effective communication and the ability to build positive working relationships with relevant stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role.  

In addition, you will demonstrate the following:
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant
  • A minimum Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualifications
  • A good understanding of the Australian Government Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Ability to demonstrated sound judgment and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills / the ability to learn new systems
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • 6 – 8 week induction

  • Required to be available and flexible to work across a seven day roster.  Weekend, late and evening work is completed from home.
  • May also be a possibility to work night shift only and this would be done from home.

Successful candidate must be an Australian Citizens and be willing to undertake a National Police Clearance.
