The Opportunity
Procurement Officer and Procurement Specialist shall provide procurement services in the areas of labour hire and the procurement of ICT hardware and software products. You shall be engaged in an initial 12 months contract with another 12 months of extension. 

Procurement Officer Role (APS4, APS5 equivalent):
Duties includes:

  • Provide administrative support.
  • Provide support to deliver a range of procurement functions.
  • Manage procurement activities from beginning to end including planning documentation, RFQ, engagement with business and contract management activities.
  • Make independently decisions within legislative requirements and be consistent with internal policies and operating procedures.
Procurement Specialist Role (APS6 or above, equivalent)
Duties includes:
  • Perform a range of procurement functions.
  • Oversee simple and complex procurement, managing approaches to market to obtain quotes and tenders, and prepare various procurment related documentation.
  • Provide timely advice, reporting and resolution on more complex issues.
  • Provide advice on Commonwealth Procurement Rules including current procurement policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Certificate IV qualification in Procurement or related qualification.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
  • Experience in Commonwealth of Australia procurement and tendering processes of varying complexity.
  • Experience in tender preparation, evaluation, contract formation, negotiation and selection.
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders including ICT professionals and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including track record of developing and maintaining productive working relationships with senior managers, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in procuring Labour Hire and/or ICT goods or services, including Hardware and Software with the ability to translate technical requirements into procurement or commercial documentation would be highly regarded.
  • Efficient use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook,MS Teams) and use of Electronic Document Management Systems (Objective) - Desirable.
